With Obama in the White House, there's new interest in the president's former neighborhood, Hyde Park, and Park 52 is keeping pace with a slew of deals. On Mondays, diners can purchase half-priced wine bottles from a select list. Wednesdays, a 15% discount is offered for city employees and University of Chicago employees, students and alumni (dine-in only, entree purchase required). Specialty martinis are served for $7 on Thursdays (regularly $12). On Sundays, seniors will receive a 15% discount on the "American Bistro Brunch," and kids dine half-price (with a paying adult). Also on Sundays, starting March 1st, corkage fees will be waived. Finally, the restaurant's offering a daily $44, four-course "Obama Prix Fixe," which includes a glass of wine (5201 South Harper Avenue; 773-241-5200).
