Easter Feasting

Hippity hoppity to these restaurants on April 12 for special Easter menus and family fun.

Dine: This West Loop Traditional American will offer an Easter brunch buffet featuring carved honey ham and baron of beef, made-to-order omelets, a ceviche bar with shrimp and tuna, as well as traditional breakfast items and pastries (9:30 AM–4 PM; $39 for adults; $15 for children six–12; complimentary for children five and under; 312-602-2100).

Old Town Brasserie Market: Live jazz will set a festive mood for a special three-course brunch, featuring dishes like shrimp Provençal, herb-roasted Amish chicken and a dark chocolate terrine (11 AM–3 PM; $29 per person; 312-943-3000).

Prairie Grass Cafe: This Northbrook New American will host an Easter feast starting with the signature "PGC Benedict" (poached egg with spinach and roasted tomato hollandaise), followed by a brunch and dessert buffet (10 AM–2 PM; $36 for adults, $15 for children under 10; 847-205-4433).

Ritz-Carlton Café: This New American within the Streeterville Ritz-Carlton will host a brunch featuring holiday specialties such as honey-glazed ham, roast prime rib with a porcini mushroom crust and classic items like eggs Benedict, made-to-order omelets and waffles. Children will enjoy their own special buffet featuring chicken nugget lollipops, quesadillas and a special cookie-decorating station (seatings at 11 AM; 1 PM and 4 PM; $95 for adults; $30 for children 12 and under; 312-573-5003).

Seasons: Though this Gold Coast New American inside the Four Seasons is already mostly booked for brunch, there's still availability for the 5 PM seating, which offers a 100-dish selection, including leg of lamb with mint pesto, honey-glazed ham and brunch favorites like made-to-order omelets and crêpes (5 PM; $105 per adult, includes a glass of champagne; $25 for children ages five–12; 312-649-2349).

Shaw’s Crab House: The brunch buffet at this River North seafooder includes a complimentary mimosa for adults, as well as a make-your-own-omelet and waffle station with 13 ingredients, a carving station with beef tenderloin and herb-roasted turkey, and a seafood bar featuring sushi, oysters and Alaskan king crab bites (10 AM–3 PM; $49.99 for adults, $19.99 for kids; children five and under eat for free; 312-527-2722).
