Some restaurants find menu inspiration from seasonal ingredients or exotic locales. And then there's River North's Blue 13: each Wednesday for the next two months, chef Chris Curren is offering up a five-course New American dinner inspired by his favorite music and musicians. The inaugural dinner this week took its inspiration from the songs of Weezer, featuring dishes like “El Scorcho,” made of a “half-Japanese” pork belly duo, blue cheese mousse, tomato bacon jam, brioche toast, ginger vinaigrette and braised bok choy. Upcoming dinners will honor the bands of Lollapalooza and a '90s alt-rock night, with the featured music playing throughout the meal ($50 per person; 312-787-1400; reserve online).
