The Publican isn’t your average gastropub, as proved by its ongoing Brew Masters Series. On Sunday, October 11, the Market Districter hosts a beer dinner with Dominique Firart of the brewery St-Feuillien, one of Belgium’s oldest and most authentic producers of Abbey ales. The multicourse meal will be highlighted by a pairing of barbecued sturgeon, served with fried grits, braising greens, ham hock and pot likker, with St-Feuillien Imperial Whit ($45, plus $10–$20 for beer pairings; reservations encouraged, 312-733-9555).
