Check, Please! groupies and wine geeks, here’s your chance to get a taste of what’s on the mind of host and master sommelier Alpana Singh. On October 22, Petterino’s in the Loop hosts a wine and hors d’oeuvres tasting featuring “20 Wines to Fall For...For Under $20” chosen by Singh and paired with fare like wild mushroom and manchego toast with crispy oxtail ravioli and spiced orange marmalade. And of course, all wines will be available for purchase at the event (5–8 PM; $25; 312-422-0150).
