Coming Soon: Chip Shops Revisited

Tom Aikens
Tom Aikens is opening a fish and chip restaurant in August.

This August, Tom Aikens plans to open Tom’s Place, a fish 'n' chip restaurant and takeaway (with food served in recyclable wooden boxes) just down the street from Tom’s Kitchen in the former Monkeys site at 1 Cale Street in Chelsea. And since it's from Aikens, there will be lobster and grilled dishes on the menu too.

Speaking of fish 'n' chip shops, Geales has been purchased by Mark Fuller, Garry Hollihead and Andy Taylor, the team behind Embassy London. Currently closed for renovations, it is scheduled to reopen in early May with a new rustic interior by Zena Praul (Embassy London) and an updated menu by executive chef Garry Hollihead featuring the famous fish 'n' chips, a new range of simple favourites and classic chip-shop drinks such as ginger beer, dandelion and burdock, and cream soda.
