A former front-of-house alumni of Le Gavroche and Aubergine, Thierry Tomasin ventures out on his own with Angelus, a quirky, Paris-style brasserie set in a former pub that backs onto a picturesque Bayswater mews with working stables; refined French fare is served throughout the day in the tightly packed front dining area and cosy lounge bar at the rear; the well-stocked cellar – which doubles as a private room – includes some commendable bargains.
