Hereford Road, a stylish, skylit newcomer just off Westbourne Grove, features a daily changing Modern British menu majoring on gutsy carnivorous dishes – an apt choice since the site was a butcher's shop until 1939 and now makes liberal use of clinical white wall tiles (softened by dark wood flooring and comfy red banquettes); wines start below £15, with some labels available by one-third of a bottle to encourage experimentation.
