Sake no Hana, Alan Yau's long-awaited Japanese entry in St. James’s, is one step closer to opening. The Buzz hears that the restaurant has been conducting tastings for friends and – get your mobile ready – that there is finally a telephone number: 020-7925 8988.
A follow-up to Yau's Chinese megahits Hakkasan and Yauatcha, Sake no Hana will resemble a Japanese izakaya with informal dining at low tables and a menu made up of small plates meant to be shared.
