The wait is over. Alan Yau's long-awaited Japanese entry in St. James’s, Sake no hana, is open and serving to the public.
A follow-up to Yau's Chinese megahits Hakkasan and Yauatcha, the sprawling new restaurant, designed by architect Kengo Kuma to resemble a Japanese izakaya, will feature informal dining at low tables and a menu made up of small plates meant to be shared. The restaurant is currently taking reservations for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
