Take a Dip Into Small Plates

In the '70s it was fondue, and in the Oughts it's small plates that rule the menus of those who like to share. So it comes as little surprise that someone has put the two trends together: The Club Bar & Dining has reintroduced fondue, but 21st century–style.

Every Monday is now "Fondue Monday" with a classic cheese fondue with dipping bits including the traditional crusty bread as well as vegetables and sliced beef, served in the restaurant's Gothic setting with exposed brickwork. Prices start at £15 for two people. If you really get into the spirit of things, you can finish with chocolate fondue served with strawberries, oranges and marshmallows (£5 for two).
