Ollie Couillaud
In March, Ollie Couillaud (ex La Trompette and Tom’s Kitchen) will open BORD'EAUX in Mayfair’s Grosvenor House Hotel. This brasserie will serve the simple, hearty cuisine of the western coast of France from the Loire Valley to the Basque country. The spacious setting will include an outdoor terrace, a wine bar, a private dining room and a traiteur boutique for gifts, coffee and take-away (Park Ln., W1; 020-7399 8460).
Speaking of Tom's Kitchen, Tom Aikens will open Tom's Place, a fish 'n' chip restaurant and takeaway (with food served in recyclable wooden boxes), just down the street in Chelsea’s former Monkey's site. It was supposed to open in mid-October, but now it's on track to debut at the end of the month (1 Cale St., SW3).
