After a brief hiatus, Kensington's Launceston Place starts serving diners again today. Now owned by D&D London, the Modern British restaurant has undergone a heavy refurbishment, which includes the addition of a semi-private dining room called a "chef's office" that allows a group of up to 10 to watch the action in the kitchen on a large plasma screen. The restaurant also boasts a new head chef, Tristan Welch (ex Pétrus), who will prepare quintessential classics like Long Horn beef cobbler with Lincolnshire cheddar.
