Atul Kochhar
Atul Kochhar (Benares, ex Tamarind) is opening Vatika, which will serve Modern British cuisine with an Indian influence, in July. Located at Wickham Vineyard ('vatika' is Hindi for vineyard), it's about an hour and 20 minutes by train from London. From its lush setting, the restaurant will source local vegetables and meats, give food and wine classes and offer special packages with luxe hotel accommodations for overnight stays (Botley Rd., Shedfield, Southampton, SO32 2HL; 01 329 832 985).
