Murano, the new Mayfair venture from chef Angela Hartnett (ex Menu at The Connaught), debuts 21st August in the former Zen Central space. Part of the Gordon Ramsay empire, the restaurant is aiming for sophisticated and glamourous with a classically tailored dining room and bar that features painted fresco panels and blown glasswork light fittings; there will also be a raised private dining area with a direct view into the kitchen. The Italian menu will reflect Hartnett’s family roots (20-22 Queen St., W1; 020-7592 1222).
