The Festival Is in the Pudding

The London Restaurant Festival (which just saw a mystery bidder put down a cool £23,000 on the table for a Gordon Ramsay feast for 10 on The London Eye) has announced an Art Lunch promotion with two of London's most popular galleries. Tate Britain is offering a meal that includes steamed mutton with minted caper and lentil jus, a period dish to coincide with the current Turner and the Masters Exhibition; and Bankside's Tate Modern has come up with a slightly less convincing tie-in to their exhibition Pop Life: Art in the Modern World: a meal including a "Marilyn Monroe crème brûlée to evoke the pudding once served to Andy Warhol at London’s Café Royal (£23 for two courses).
