The London Restaurant Festival's inaugural year ended Tuesday night with an awards ceremony at The Street at Tea Building in Shoreditch, where happening new pie purveyor Pizza East opened its door for the first time (formal opening is tomorrow). The public voted on its favourite courses via Toptable: best two-course lunch for £10, St Germain; best two-course dinner for £15, Village East and Quo Vadis; best two-course dinner for £25, Whitechapel Gallery Dining Rooms and Hélène Darroze at the Connaught; and, finally, best £40 meal, L'Anima.
