Set in the La Brea space that housed Flora Kitchen for many years, Happi Songs Asian Tavern, the latest entry from the increasingly ubiquitous Steve Arroyo (Malo, Cobras & Matadors, 750 ml), serves a budget-friendly menu of Asian small plates complemented by a wide selection of beer and sake; with writing covering the walls and oversized paper lanterns hanging from the beams, it provides a funky setting for hipsters to enjoy the weekend DJs.
