Simi Valley Gets Two Newcomers

Coco D'Amour
Coco D'Amour

With its tikis and indoor grass huts, Coco D'Amour, a colorful Simi Valley newcomer dishing up affordable Island fare, is out to prove that Polynesia is alive and well in SoCal; its bar serves plenty of tropical cocktails, which guests can sip while enjoying karaoke, comedy or live music, depending on the night (2321 Tapo St.; 805-578-2622).

Limon Latin Grill, a new Pan-Latin with a reasonably priced menu of gazpacho, ceviche, Argentinean steak and Cuban pork, celebrates all things Hispanic in what used to be the culinary wasteland of Simi Valley; its brightly colored setting – decorated with original Latino artwork – frequently showcases live music (1555 Simi Town Center Way; 805-955-9277).
