Dans le Noir
Coming to Clerkenwell (30-31 Clerkenwell Green, EC1) is this dining concept from Paris that aims to enhance patrons' senses of taste and smell by plunging them into complete darkness (the staff is visually impaired and no movement will be allowed in the dining room without the assistance of a guide). The menu will feature French fusion cuisine – diners can read it, and place orders, in an illuminated lounge.
Saran Rom
The imported furnishings at this Thai newcomer will replicate the banquet rooms of Vimanmek Palace, Bangkok's teakwood mansion. The Fulham space (Unit 1, Waterside Tower, The Boulevard, Town Mead Rd., Imperial Wharf, SW6) will feature two bars, dining areas spread over three floors and views of the Thames. Many of the menu's ingredients will be flown in from Thailand.
