Gimme an Order of Sushi, Hold the BBQ Sauce

Few would have guessed that eating raw fish would become part of mainstream American dining – and certainly even early sushi devotees would have been hard-pressed to anticipate its appearance on the menu at one of our most American culinary destinations. Yes, the Houston's chain now offers not just sushi – but sushi bars – at its Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, Pasadena and Century City locations.

Craving a spicy tuna roll to go along with those "fall-off-the-bone pork ribs"? No problem. And instead of a Caesar salad, you can opt for a miso-dressed salad of spicy tuna and crunchy shrimp. The wine list is still light on sake – just give it time.
