In the space last occupied by Le Meridien Hotel, Sam Nazarian and his SBE Hotel Group are creating "a new paradigm in luxury" they refer to as "SLS at Beverly Hills" with design by Philippe Starck and a world-class restaurant headed by chef José Andrés (of DC's Café Atlántico and Jaleo, though he may be best known for returning every year to cook alongside Ferran Adrià at El Bulli). Expect the doors to open in March 2008 (465 S. La Cienega Blvd.).
