Looking for a bar to watch football in that isn't, y'know, a sports bar? Restaurant owner Bruce Marder feels your pain.
And so fellow fan Marder is turning his Brass.-Cap. bistro (or at least its zinc bar) into a sports hangout on Sunday and Monday nights throughout football season (and possibly longer – he's been toying with basketball nights as well). Expect $5 draft beers and a menu that includes short rib tacos, lamb kebobs and steak tartare – the sort of sports bar food you might find in Paris ... if Paris had sports bars (100 W. Channel Rd., Santa Monica; 310-454-4544).
