Having served “consistently fantastic” Italian cuisine for three-and-a-half decades, the folks at Santa Monica's beloved Valentino have reason to be proud. To celebrate its years of glory – the restaurant is currently on Zagat's Top Food, Top Service and Most Popular lists – owner Piero Selvaggio has introduced a new 35th Anniversary menu prepared by chefs Giacomo Pettinari (ex El Bulli) and Taku Tabuchi (ex Ristorante Duomo). An amendment to the regular dishes, the special menu includes plates like Italian sashimi, duckling-filled crespelle, goat-cheese tortino and tripe ravioli. The new additions are expected to remain available for at least the rest of the year (310-829-4313).
