Get five top LA chefs to cook together for five nights over the course of a season and what do you get? It's called the Five Chefs Collaborative Dinner Project and it stars Michael Cimarusti (Providence), Josiah Citrin (Mélisse), David LeFevre (Water Grill), Gino Angelini (Angelini Osteria) and Walter Manzke (Bastide), plus a sixth rotating guest chef. The dinner series kicks off on May 19th at Providence with special guest chef David Kinch of Los Gatos' Manresa; the sextet will prepare six courses and donate a portion of the proceeds to Southern California Chapter of Special Olympics (seatings at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM; $150 per person; $215 with wine pairings; 323-460-4170).
The remaining Collaborative Dinners will take place at Bastide on June 17th, Mélisse on July 7th, Water Grill on August 31st and La Terza on September 22nd.
