This summer, Dena House will open in the Old Town space that was most recently home to Jerry's Famous Deli, and before that Pause, Pasadena Brewing Co. and Union Cattle Co. The American eatery will be built around steaks, though it will offer sushi as well (42 S. De Lacey Ave.).
Old Town's Thaitalian is gone and will be replaced by a Pan-Asian spot called Rice Zen, whose slogan is "Have a Rice Day"; it should be open by the summer (49 E. Colorado Blvd.).
In the space that was last home to Delacey's Club 41, brothers Bob and Gregg Smith (Parkway Grill, Arroyo Chophouse, Smitty's Grill) return with Spitfire Saloon. The concept is being described as the Blue Smoke of
Pasadena – upscale barbecue, a notion sorely missing from the mix in Old Town. They say this summer, though we're betting fall (41 S. De Lacey St.).
