Animal, opened by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of the Food Network’s 2 Dudes Catering, is a midpriced New American arrival in the heart of Fairfax Avenue's Glatt Gulch that features beef, innards and especially pork (chocolate bars coated with bacon, anyone?) along with seasonal organic produce; the minimalist room, its walls simply adorned with bare lightbulbs, offers a counterpoint to the wild creations on the menu.
