Vinotéque is a place to sip and swirl any night, but the Culver City wine-and-jazz bar is especially the place to be on Mondays because that's when sommelier Larry Lanzetta runs focused tastings of five wines paired with small bites. Here's the lineup for the next few weeks (7–9 PM; $40 per person; reservations required, 310-482-3490).
July 28: California Classics Sample highâend bottles from California including cult wines from the likes of Lewis, Miner, Mondavi and others; think big, lush reds.
August 4: Sparklers from Around the World Learn about the top bubblies in the world while tasting sparkling wines from Champagne, Italy and California.
August 11: Oddball Varietals Here's a chance to try rare grapes from France, South America, Italy and Australia along with unique Californian blends.
