The old-line Silver Lake favorite Michelangelo closed some months ago, only to reappear in a more upscale setting adjacent to the Golden State Freeway, offering midpriced preparations of much-loved dishes from the Italian canon as well as a smattering of new, upscale fare; its setting is atmospheric enough to be romantic, but cheery enough for family meals.
