On August 5, The Joy of Sake partners with West Hollywood's Katana to host its first LA “Aftertaste.” The evening will concentrate on brewing techniques used to add fragrances like apple, banana and lychee to different sakes. Thirty-seven variations will be on hand (try them all if you dare) and appetizers will be offered to help soak up all that spirit (6–8 PM; $37 per person; for more information and reservations, click here).
