Chef Debbie Lee (Next Food Network Star third-place finalist) says that according to her Korean ancestors, the size of your meal is a function of your social status and socioeconomic standing. So, naturally, she's created several levels of tasting menus at Gyenari Korean BBQ & Lounge, which range from $20 for three courses...to $79 for 12 courses. Define yourself as a peasant or royalty, while enjoying fare like pumpkin porridge, egg-battered meatballs with pimento scallion soy sauce, spicy chicken with daikon and Korean pepper, and green-tea beignets.
Gyenari's also launched a new beer garden offering a special menu of $3–$12 bites such as skewers of quail egg and bacon, chile ginger chicken meatballs, and manila clams with fried garlic and soju broth (310-838-3131).
