Michael ‘Bao’ Huynh (Bún) ventures to the UWS with BarBao, the new arrival in the former Rain space, where he offers his signature – and, in this case, pricey – innovative Vietnamese cuisine in both small and large plates; the vast space has an interesting new look featuring lots of wood (cedar-slat ceilings, dark-paneled walls), purple vintage fabrics and a large poster-mural, which makes it suitable for a drink as well as for dinner.
