The smell is back. After a year-long hiatus the mysterious maple syrup–like smell (first sniffed way back in 2005) has reportedly returned to the shores of Manhattan, especially, it seems, to the Upper East and West Sides. And though there's still no official explanation for what exactly is producing the smell, with all of that sugary scent in the air, all we can think about is where to go to eat breakfast.
