Take a stroll down Carmine Street in the late afternoon, and the sidewalk is cluttered with chalkboards announcing weekly happy-hour specials. Here’s our guide to a spirited afternoon stroll down this Village Restaurant Row:

To start, head for Cafe Español’s “Sunset Tapas,” where $11.95 buys a glass of sangria or beer plus a selection of tapas (Monday–Friday, 3–6 PM). Then head across the street to Mr. Dennehy’s for two-for-one margaritas, $1-off draft beers, $6 appletinis, raspberry martinis and Cosmos, and $7 house red or white wine (Monday–Friday, 4–7 PM). Cheerful yet? Continue to Spunto next door where a large pizza plus a pitcher of beer or bottle of house wine goes for $22 (Monday–Friday, 3:30–6:30 PM).

On the corner, Korean spot Do Hwa offers discounts on saketinis ($6), draft beer ($4), wine ($6) and specialty cocktails ($5) while slashing prices on appetizers, like the vegetable kalbi ($10) (Monday–Friday, 4:30–7:30 PM, Saturday–Sunday, 4:30–6:30 PM). The boozy fun continues at Market Table, where “Uncle Frankie Hour” offers three reds and three whites for just $3 (Monday–Friday, 5:30–7 PM). Wind up the evening at Cabrito for $5 margaritas, $4 bottle beers, $3 drafts and $3 tacos (Monday–Friday, 4–7 PM; Thursday–Saturday, 11 PM–2 AM).
