The Patina Restaurant Group throws its first "Tomato Festival"

Starting August 1 and continuing until the supply runs out, the various Patina restaurants (Brasserie, Brasserie 8½, Cafe Centro, Naples 45, Nick & Stef's Steakhouse, Rock Center Café, Sea Grill) are participating in "Tomato Festival," serving à la carte options created with tomatoes from local purveyors like the Double Decker Farm in Hillsdale, NY. In other 'mato news, from August 19–30, Flatiron Mediterranean Barbounia will be offering a tomato-focused three-course prix fixe for $35. Options will include seared scallops with tomato confit, artichokes, prosciutto and manchego cheese and tomato compote with Parmigiano ice cream.
