Center Cut will soon be Ed's Chowder House.

The Chod is at it again: Replacing the short-lived Center Cut in the Empire Hotel will be Ed's Chowder House, a “comfort seafood” collaboration between Jeffrey Chodorow and chef Ed Brown (eighty one) due sometime around September 15. Center Cut will remain open throughout August, with just a few days of downtime during the transition to the new concept (44 W. 63rd St.).
