After closing this summer for renovations, it appears that Karen and David Waltuck's beloved Chanterelle will not be reopening after all. The restaurant, which opened in SoHo in 1979 and moved to TriBeCa 10 years later, was one of the first in this era to bring fine dining Downtown.
