Spring 2008 will see the opening of chef Alison Barshak's (Alison at Blue Bell) second restaurant. Expect similarly innovative fare, but in a larger space with a full bar, wine storage lockers for BYOers and a payment policy that accepts credit cards (424 S. Bethlehem Pike, Fort Washington).
LoBianco New American, a new incarnation of Margate's LoBianco Coastal Cuisine, is under construction in Collingswood’s new commercial and residential complex named the Lumberyard Shoppes (2 Powell Ln.).
Old City’s Bistro 7 will branch out in Washington Square West at 13th and Waverly Streets; no name or opening date yet.
Union Trust, a luxe steakhouse, is taking shape in the historic building at 719 Chestnut Street that last housed Kellmer Jewelers; the $12 million build-out will take advantage of 48-ft. ceilings, boardrooms and basement vaults.
Apothecary Bar & Lounge, from Bruno Pouget, creator of Caribou Cafe, is under construction at 102 S. 13th Street; this is months off, as a second floor has to be built.
