Amada
From Monday, July 28th–Thursday, July 31st, about two dozen Old City restaurants come together via Delicacies Unite to rally around a common theme: surf ’n’ turf. Participating restaurants include Amada, serving grilled prawns a la planxa ($2.50) and hanger steak brochettes ($1.50); Old Original Bookbinder's, throwing Angus beef and lobster sliders your way (three for $11); Gigi, doing a straight-up (and highbrow) rendition with beef tenderloin and lobster tail ($35); and Bistro 7, incorporating the theme into its five-course tasting menu (regularly served Tuesday–Thursday) with dishes like Prince Edward Island mussels stewed in saffron nage served with Israeli couscous, tomatoes and baby arugula and braised beef shortribs over lobster risotto with corn and sweet peas ($35); see more details.
