Back after a hiatus and a redo, the venerable Sansom Street Oyster House near Rittenhouse Square is again under the helm of its original owners; the name’s been shortened to Oyster House, but it remains an old-time Philly-style seafooder, offering simple, moderately priced fare (e.g. snapper soup) in a vaguely retro setting with subway tiles and fancy oyster plates on the wall – not to mention veteran shuckers working their magic at the three-sided raw bar.
