As part of an ongoing series at Jack Falstaff called the Grower's Dinners, executive chef Jonnatan Leiva will prepare a four-course wine dinner on April 18th that showcases the produce of Mariquita Farms. On April 21st and 22nd, Carneros, the winegrowing region that straddles Napa and Sonoma counties, is hosting its 20th annual “April in Carneros” celebration, a series of open houses – think barrel tastings, live music and food pairings – at 21 participating wineries from 10 AM–4 PM on both days. The proceeds from the $25 per person entrance fee, which includes a logo glass, will provide scholarships for local community colleges (800-909-4352; www.carneroswineries.org).
