Although “eat local” might as well be a year-long mantra for San Francisco residents, the week of September 23rd through 29th is officially Eat Local Week, when scores of restaurants will be preparing special dishes fashioned entirely from products procured within 250 miles of the city in hope of demonstrating the economic, environmental, health and flavor advantages of consuming local foods.
