While you might not be able to make it to Louisiana for Mardi Gras, you can at least get some of the flavor here by the Bay. Once again, Town Hall is transforming itself into a bayou bastion for its Annual Fat Tuesday Bash on February 5th.
The kitchen is all set to crank out traditional New Orleans fare like gumbo, crawfish étouffée, jalapeño corn bread and an enormous King Cake. There will also be live blues performances by the D'Amphibians, Mardi Gras masks, face painters, doubloons and boozy hurricanes ($5) to complete the festivities. Even better, proceeds will benefit Alice Waters' Edible Schoolyard project in New Orleans (February 5, 5:30 PM–midnight; $75 per person; 415-908-3900).
