In homage to Fellini's masterpiece 8 1/2 – and to celebrate its own eight-and-a-half years of enticing Mission diners with California-Med food and a magical courtyard – Foreign Cinema is throwing a birthday bash on February 7th. All funds raised will benefit StreetSmart 4 Kids, which helps local at-risk and homeless children.
Guests will fill up on a "greatest hits" selection of the restaurant's hors d'oeuvres and specialty cocktails while live performances from the Jazz Mafia, Vau de Vire Society and acrobats keep the joint jumping.
While a spaceship made of scaffolding (see the movie!) is not expected, lots of dancing and good food is (6 PM; $40 per person; 415-648-7600).
