After 20 years at the helm of the John Ash & Co. kitchen, executive chef Jeff Madura, who took over the reigns when founder John Ash departed, will bow out on the pioneering Santa Rosa restaurant at the end of July for personal reasons. Tom Schmidt, whose restaurant Topaz in Bremen, Germany, was known for its pan-European small plates, has been tapped as his replacement.
