Courtesy of Monhal Jweinat, owner of Higher Ground Coffee House, Glen Park’s burgeoning Restaurant Row will soon include Manzoni, a casual midpriced Italian located in the old Bird & Beckett bookstore space. The name references Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni, and is also the nickname given to Jweinat when he lived and cooked in Milan and the Friuli region. The rustic, Tuscan-looking restaurant will be dinner-only, serving fare from across Italia, and will also feature a wine bar for guests who just want to hang out and drink.
