Restaurateur Hoss Zaré has taken over SoMa’s centenarian eatery Fly Trap (where he worked in the early '90s), renaming it Zaré at Fly Trap and updating the all-day venue with bright-orange accents and a new Californian-fresh Mediterranean menu dotted with his signature Persian touches; perhaps the real lure for trapping regulars will be the bar, which stays open till midnight and features Middle East–inspired cocktails such as the Fly Trap martini (gin or vodka with a garnish of feta-stuffed olive, Sweet 100 tomato, Persian pickle and a sprig of basil); N.B. desserts are designed by Top Chef alum Marisa Churchill.
