TV personality Joey Altman has resurrected his popular late-’80s island-themed spot, Miss Pearl's Jam House, across the bay in Jack London Square’s Waterfront Plaza Hotel, where he’s whipping up moderately priced Caribbean fare like classic jerk chicken and the sassily named Mini Skirts with Nice Buns (skirt steak sliders); the dining room and patio area, which overlook the marina, are reminiscent of a grand mansion on a tropical island, replete with curio-filled cabinets and seaside shrines.
