Earlier this month Michael and Lindsay Tusk, owners of Quince, revealed more details about their upcoming move to Jackson Square. As previously reported, the couple plan to shutter their jewel box Pacific Heights eatery and relocate by May 1 to the larger former Myth space at 470 Pacific Ave. The new venue will feature the same seasonal French-Italian menu and pricing. But before that, sometime in April, the couple plans to open an all-day, more casual 40-seater named Cotogna (“quince” in Italian) in the adjacent space at 490 Pacific Ave. that once housed Myth Café. Cotogna will be dominated by a wood-fired oven and rotisserie serving seasonal pizzas, roasts and housemade pastas, complemented by custom-blend wines. Pastry chef William Werner (ex Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay) will be the executive pastry chef for both venues.
