The Embarcadero's EPIC Roasthouse loves Pinot Noir so much, it's throwing a party to celebrate the wine. On Saturday, June 27, the restaurant is hosting a tasting on its bayside patio, with vino from a slew of award-winning wineries. Paired with the pours will be a massive menu including a slow-roasted whole fennel pig with accompaniments. Wine writer Jordan MacKay will be on hand, signing copies of his new book, Passion for Pinot: A Journey Through America's Pinot Noir Country, and live music will be provided by Nell Robinson and Red Level throughout the afternoon. Reserve soon, as seats are going fast (1–4 PM; $50 per person, $20 for just food, $30 for just wine; 415-369-9955).
